VideoToImg privacy overview

videotoimg.com is designed to minimize data collection. You can use the video to image converter without creating an account. Local video files and extracted frames are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our application servers.

02

How local video files and extracted images are handled

Local file processing

When you choose a local video, the browser creates a temporary local object URL. The file is decoded with browser media APIs, and requested frames are rendered to an in-memory canvas.

Remote video URLs

If you enter a direct video URL, your browser requests that file from the third-party host. That host receives normal request information such as your IP address and browser headers under its own privacy terms.

Retention

Temporary source URLs and extracted frame previews are released when you replace the video, refresh, or close the page. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them.

03

Information our web host may process

Like most websites, infrastructure providers may process standard request logs containing an IP address, timestamp, requested path, user-agent string, response status, and security signals. These records may be used to operate, secure, and diagnose the service.

04

Local storage

The site stores your light or dark theme preference in browser local storage. Converter inputs, source videos, and extracted frame images are not stored there.

05

Cookies and analytics

The current application does not require advertising cookies or an analytics account to run the conversion tool. If measurement services are introduced later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before they are enabled.

06

Third-party links and services

Pages may link to email, browser, hosting, or external media services. Their privacy practices are controlled by their respective providers. A remote video URL is fetched directly by your browser from the URL's host.

07

Security and limitations

Local processing reduces file transfer risk, but no website or device is perfectly secure. Keep your browser updated, avoid untrusted video URLs, and use care when working with confidential material on shared devices.

08

Your choices and rights

You can clear the saved theme preference using browser site-data controls. Privacy inquiries or requests concerning any server records associated with your visit can be sent to privacy@videotoimg.com.

09

Children's privacy

The service is a general-purpose media utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.

10

Policy changes and contact

Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised update date. Contact privacy@videotoimg.com with privacy questions.
